City-County Councilor Jared Evans has a bold plan to rebuild West Washington Street and a stormwater system in surrounding neighborhoods. Many homes and storefronts are soggy in wet months and flood. Among the first projects is a stormwater system in Biltmore Gardens. “The project will total $5.1 million,” Evans explained, and “will mitigate flooding in the area.” Evans hopes residents and business owners can attend a town hall about the project this winter.
