This year marks a major milestone for Indy Gateway—10 years of investing in the future of Indianapolis’ west side. What started as a vision for neighborhood revitalization has become a driving force for affordable housing, economic development, and community renewal.
Since its launch in 2015, Indy Gateway has made strategic investments totaling over $1.44 million into housing alone—transforming abandoned lots and neglected properties into welcoming homes for westside families. And it didn’t stop there.
In 2018, the organization expanded its housing program to include new construction, broadening its impact and deepening its commitment to restoring pride and stability to westside neighborhoods.
From turning blighted properties into homes in places like Drexel Gardens, to supporting youth through partnerships with institutions like Area 31 Career Center, Indy Gateway continues to live out its mission: creating a thriving, equitable, and opportunity-rich west side for everyone.
